Our Approach

Services & Maintenance

WHY IT MATTERS

Many maintenance problems begin as soon as the install ends.

Fleet technology doesn’t hold up on its own. Systems that aren’t maintained degrade, configurations drift, and components that weren’t quite right at installation become bigger problems over time. When something fails, it usually isn’t at a convenient time — it creates downtime, pulls maintenance staff into troubleshooting they weren’t expecting, and disrupts schedules that don’t have room for it.

The difference between a fleet that runs consistently and one that doesn’t is rarely the equipment. It’s whether there’s a program keeping it that way.

QMI provides ongoing service and maintenance support like preventative programs, system upgrades, fleet audits, and standardization across sites. Because we’ve installed and built systems ourselves, we’re not starting from scratch every time something needs attention. We already know what to look for.

Start With An Audit

You can't fix what you haven't looked at

Radios, cameras, fare equipment and CAD/AVL all went in over time. Often by different teams, sometimes by people who are no longer around. It degrades quietly, and you usually find out something is wrong when it fails while in service or when needed.

A fleet audit gives you that picture before it costs you. QMI comes to your yard and works through the installed systems vehicle by vehicle: what’s there, what’s working, what’s not and What’s heading toward a problem. Because we’ve installed it ourselves for more than 20 years, we know what good looks like and where these systems typically fail.

You walk away with a written report you can use: the condition of the technology across your fleet, what needs attention now, what to plan for, and what it would take to bring everything back to a good place.

HOW WE WORK

A support partner, not just a callback number.

Reactive service is expensive and hard to plan around. We work with agencies and fleet operators to build maintenance programs that surface issues before they become failures conducting regular audits, scheduled preventative work, and offering a consistent point of contact who already knows your fleet.

If you’re managing multiple sites or vehicle generations, continuity matters. Standards can change across locations and over time. Having the same team that handled the original installation involved in ongoing service keeps those standards intact.

If you’re looking to move away from reactive maintenance or need a longer-term support option, that’s a conversation worth having early.
